RAM_Terracotta_DEMO is the free, limited-character edition of Terracotta, a versatile comic lettering font with a bold, direct and clean stroke. Its slightly slanted letters and playful details recall the style of classic American superhero comics.
The demo includes Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic styles, with uppercase letters, numbers, punctuation and selected uppercase accents. It does not include lowercase letters, ligatures or the full version’s extended multilingual character set. Some symbols vary between styles.
Free use covers personal and educational projects and qualifying independently created comics, graphic novels and zines, including self-published projects that are sold. The creator or small creative team must create, control and publish its own project. Work commissioned by a publisher or client requires the appropriate Commercial License. Webfont use, redistribution of the font files and font modification are not included. Please read the ComicsFontStore Free Font License for the full terms.

ComicsFontStore Free Font License
Free License for Personal & Indie Use
This font is provided free of charge for personal use and for qualifying independent creative projects.
By downloading, installing or using the font, you agree to the terms of this license.
1. Free uses
You may use this font free of charge for:
- personal and non-commercial projects;
- educational projects;
- fan comics, fan art and non-commercial webcomics;
- independently created comics, graphic novels and zines;
- self-published projects, including projects that are sold directly by the creator;
- promotional material directly related to your own independent project.
The font may therefore be used in a comic or graphic novel that you create and publish yourself, even if copies of that work are sold.
2. Independent creators
For the purposes of this license, an Independent Creator is an individual creator or a small independent creative team that creates, controls and publishes its own project without producing the work on behalf of a third-party publisher, company or client.
Using crowdfunding platforms, print-on-demand services, online marketplaces, printers or distributors does not automatically make a project commercial under this license.
For example, an independently created comic may be funded through a crowdfunding campaign, printed by a professional printer, sold through an online marketplace or distributed through third-party services while remaining covered by the Free License.
The key requirement is that the project remains independently created and controlled by its creator or creative team.
3. When a Commercial License is required
A Commercial License is required when the font is used:
- for work commissioned by a third-party client;
- in publications produced for or by a commercial publisher;

- in packaging or commercial product design;
- in television, film or commercial audiovisual productions;
- in software, applications or video games;
- in websites when the font itself is used as a webfont;
- in any project where the font is used as part of paid professional work carried out for another company, organisation or client.
If you are a freelance letterer, designer or illustrator using the font for a project commissioned by a publisher or client, a Commercial License is required.
4. Finished artwork
You may freely distribute, print and sell finished artwork created with the font when the project qualifies under this Free License.
Text created using the font may be converted to outlines, rasterised or embedded in finished documents such as PDF files when necessary for printing or distribution.
Embedding must not allow the original font file to be extracted or reused by third parties.
5. Font embedding
Protected or subset embedding is permitted only when necessary to distribute a finished product covered by this license.
The font may not be embedded in:
- editable templates;
- documents designed to allow users to create new text using the font;

A separate Webfont License is required.
